The Paulskirche is located on top of the Paulsberg-Hill. The chapel offers also a fantastic view on the ancient river valley of the Moselle. It was the religious centre of fourteen villages and a much-visited pilgrimage destination until the 16th century. It is probably the oldest church in the region. Many Moselle residents sought refuge in it during the hard times of the revolution around 1848.
